Plan and usage
See your plan, how much usage you have left this period, and what happens when it runs out.
Admins find plan and usage in the sidebar, under Organization: Usage and Billing. Members do not see them.
New organizations start on the Free plan: one seat and €5 of usage a month. For every plan, see Plans and quotas.
What spends usage
Reading new content spends usage: files you upload, what your connectors bring in, content you import, and replies from colleagues that Brain saves. Asking questions through an assistant does not. If you save knowledge through an assistant, that is new content too. See Usage and limits.
The Usage page
Open Usage. The top card is titled Usage this period and shows how much is spent, for example "€1.20 of €5 used", with the dates of the period and the renewal date and time, for example Renews 29 Sep 2026, 10:00.
Below it are boxes for Total this period, Consumed and Remaining. When your organization has extra usage, a fourth box called Extra balance appears. Brain spends the monthly amount first.
A chart called Daily usage by source shows the last 30 days, in euros, split by source. It includes usage from before any plan change. If nothing has been learned yet, it says "No usage in the last 30 days." If the page cannot load, you see "Could not load usage".
The bar on Overview and Ingest
Ingest shows a bar with what you have used, in euros and as a percentage. Overview shows a bar for the period too, but it counts in a technical unit and not in euros. Click More detail to open Usage. The bar turns red only when all of the usage is spent. There is no warning before that.
The Billing page
Billing is titled "Your plan and the credits it includes." It has:

To compare plans, change plan or cancel, use View all plans. See Plans and quotas.
When usage runs out
- Brain keeps answering with what it already knows.
- New content waits. On Ingest it shows as Paused and is learned by itself once your usage renews or you upgrade. You do not need to upload it again.
- A banner appears on every page for everyone: you have used all of this month's usage and new content is queued until it renews or you upgrade. Admins get a View plans button.
When a payment needs attention
Two other banners can appear at the top of every page:
